Equipment

  • Non-stick skillet, grill pan, or outdoor grill
  • Spatula
  • Meat thermometer (optional)
  • Cutting board and knife
  • Toaster oven or grill for buns (optional)

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 fat ratio for juicy patties
  • Salt and pepper: To taste
  • 1/2 tsp Paprika optional, for smoky flavor
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 4 Slider buns toasted
  • 4 leaves Lettuce
  • 1 medium Tomato sliced
  • 1/4 cup Special sauce your favorite burger sauce
  • 1 tbsp Butter for toasting buns

Instructions

Prepare the Patties

  • Divide the ground beef into 4-6 equal portions (about 2 oz each).
  • Shape each portion into a ball, then gently flatten into a patty about 2 inches wide and 1/4 inch thick.
  • Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Cook the Patties

    For Skillet or Grill Pan:

    • Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat.
    • Cook patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, flipping only once.

    For Outdoor Grill:

    • Preheat the grill to medium-high (about 400°F).
    • Lightly oil the grates and cook patties for 2-3 minutes per side, flipping gently.
    • Cheese Tip: Add a slice of cheddar cheese to each patty during the last minute of cooking. Cover with a lid or foil tent to melt the cheese evenly.

    Toast the Buns

    • Spread butter on the cut sides of the buns.
    • Toast them on the skillet, grill, or in a toaster oven until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes.

    Assemble the Sliders

    • Place a cooked patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
    • Add a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, and a dollop of special sauce.
    • Cap with the top bun and secure with a toothpick if desired.

    Notes

Meat Options: Substitute ground beef with turkey or plant-based meat for a lighter or vegetarian option.
Make Ahead: Patties can be shaped and stored in the fridge, separated by parchment paper, up to 1 day in advance.
Topping Ideas: Get creative with toppings like caramelized onions, pickles, bacon, or jalapeños for added flavor.
